مشروع الصم و البكم


من منطلق ازالة العقبات في وجة الاعاقة الذهنية و المصابين بالصم و البكم تأتي مشاركة طلبة كلية الاقتصاد و العلوم السياسية بمساعدة الاستاذ جميل ابن درويش الشقصي في معرض كومكس 2013 ابتكارا خاصا لمساعدة هذه الفئة و تسهيل التواصل الاجتماعي بينهم و بين الناس الاسوياء , مشروع الصم و البكم يقتصر على تحويل لغة وصوت الشخص السوي "الشخص العادي" الى لغة الاشارات للمصابين بالصم و البكم الخاصه بهم و تحويل لغة الاشارات الخاصه  بالصم و البكم الى لغه الشخص العادي حتى يستطيع ذوو الاعاقة من التواصل مع بقية الافراد في المجتع بشكل فعال و طبيعي .

يعد مشروع الصم و البكم طفره نوعية لمحاربة الطبقات في المجتمع و انشاء الابتكار سيساهم في تفعيل دور المصابين بالصم و البكم في المجتمع , تم عرض فكره المشروع لمعالي الدكتور علي بن مسعود السنيدي وزير التجارة والصناعة و لاقت الفكره اعجابه و تم التواصل مع شركه ابل لتطبيق المشروع بشكل فعلي .

على صعيد الابتكار الطلابي في جامعه السلطان قابوس تأتي مشاركة طلبة كلية الاقتصاد و العلوم السياسيه بمساعدة الدكتور جميل ابن درويش الشقصي استاذ مساعد بقسم نظم المعلومات بالجامعه في معرض كومكس 2013 من اهم الخطوات نحو مجتمع مواكب للتطورات التنمويه و التطورات المتعلقه بالتكنولوجيا , حيث شاركت الجامعه بخمس مشاريع يأتي اهمها مشروع الرادار المتنقل الذي يتم تركيبه في المركبات لمراقبة السرعه المحدده في الطرقات المختلفة , وطريقة عمل الجهاز هي اعطاء تنبيه فوري لصاحب المركبه لمده 15 ثانيه عند زياده السرعه فلن لم تتم الاستجابة لهذه التحذيرات يتم ارسال رسالة نصيه لصاحب المركبه و الجهات المختصة لجعلها ملمة بتجاوز المركبة لسرعه القانونية.

يمثل مشروع الرادار المتنقل نقلة نوعية في مجال التحكم بسرعة المركبات و من اهم مميزات هذا الابتكار هو اعلام الجهات المختصه في حالة حدوث اي حادث لاخذ اهم الاجراءات لانقاذ صاحب المركبه و يمكن ايضا من خلال هذا الابتكار التحكم في سرعه السياره صباحا و مساءا مع مراعاة ازدحام السيارات.

مشروع الرادار يعد من اهم المشاريع في وقتنا الحالي و من المتوقع يتم تداوله و تنزيله للجهات المختصه لمعايتنه و دراسته في نهاية شهر ابريل لعام 2013.

Migration; Factors, Benefits and Problems


The economy has affected rapidly due to various factors. Migration has always helped to raise the economy of any country. It is therefore, the net result of the combined effects of push factors of one area to another. Recently, global migration showed enormous percentage. This essay will focus on the factors behind migration, the economic benefits and the issues faces by migration.

                 Enormous number of people are leaving their native country which could be influenced by push and pull factors. Migrants may divided into two categories; voluntary and forced. People may move to developed and industrial countries because the education and job opportunities are much better compared to those in developing countries. Moreover, people may be forced to move because of some reasons like natural disaster, wars, crimes, crisis and other bad things. Climate change and food shortage are considered as factors of migration. Migration affects in terms of dividing people into layers which lead to widening gap between rich and poor people. Other factors of migration are reunification and high increase of poverty globally. Migration also encourages government to develop policies. What are the benefits behind migration?

             Migrate to mega cities and industrial towns have pulled effects due to more benefits migrants gain. The most significant benefit is boosting the growth of economy. According to TUC general secretary Brendan Barber about 10% of migration is due to economic reasons, especially for seeking employment. Another important benefit is migrants gain greater prosperity and better conditions for sustenance. Migrants are making a substantial contribution to the country they move to. Moreover, about $20 million of taxes are paid by incomers who help to cover the cost of retirees. As the wages are arising in many countries such as in Europe, migration has helped to stop the hike of wages since migrants have little skills or trainings. It is also helped to decrease labour shortages. Additionally, industrial countries collapses have decrease sharply as a result of migration. Even though, migration has many benefits, there are many problems.

           The problem caused by migration impact on individual and their families. There are several issues behind migration. According to International Centre of Migration Policy Development 2000 people die annually due to movement from one area to another. As people reacting to negative attitudes forward lucrative activities, criminal activities and smuggling, it is believe that crises cross the world will rapidly go up. It is also clear that migration does not help to keep the wages at their minimum level. In the same way, it does not respond to lessen the unemployment. Therefore, many industrial countries would collapse. What is more, migration is pressuring on hosing and public services.
             In conclusion, migration refers to the movement of people from one area to another. The purpose of migration may be employment, business, education, family, movement, marriage, calamity and many more. 10% of migration is a result of economic reasons. Migrants are searching for better standards of living. They effect on minimize the wages. On the other hand, 2000 people die every year. It is clear that migration will continue to rise in early future as per many pull and push factors are attracting migrants

Background Information


Banks are financial institutions. From a customer's perspective, a bank is a combination of financial products, services and distribution systems that satisfy his or her needs. Whereas from the bank's point of view, it is dealing with sellers and tellers, communicating with customers, process into their cheques, setting their rates, designing new systems and much more. As the banks improve their services and satisfy the customer’s requirement, a great degree of success is achieved. HSBC Holdings plc (commonly known as HSBC) is a British multinational banking and financial services company headquartered in London, United Kingdom. As of 2012, it was the world's third-largest bank and sixth-largest public company .HSBC, the fastest growing bank, is considered good example of successful bank present in Oman currently. HSBC is one of the leading financial services providers in the country. It was founded in 1991 by Sir Thomas Sutherland. Even though, they are new in the economy industry, they have made enormous improvement since they started. Moreover, regarding HSBC logo, the hexagon symbol was originally adopted by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation as its logo in 1983. It was developed from the bank’s house flag, a white rectangle divided diagonally to produce a red hourglass shape.  HSBC  employees are approximately 267,000 workers and they high-skilled. The local competitors are; bank Muscat, bank Dhofar and OIB. In addition to that, the bank offer multi services that target Omanis and foreign. Unfortunately, their services do not reach children needs. HSBC is a universal bank and is organized within four business groups: Commercial Banking; Global Banking and Markets, Retail Banking and Wealth Management; and Global Private Banking. It is also provide privilege banking services and Loans: home improvement, chilled graduation and buying car. In addition to that, the financial statement between 2009 & 2010 shows increasing in certain point such as income and profit. Moreover, HSBC has around 7,200 offices in 85 countries and territories across Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and South America, and around 89 million customers. The purpose of this report is to highlight some information about the global bank HSBC and investigated its progress.    This report will shed some light on the HSBC background information, the board of director in Oman,  HSBC services and operation, HSBC approaches, the bank value & business principle, HSBC in the community and HSBC awards.

HSBC was found in British Colony of Hong Kong by Scotsman Sir Thomas Sutherland on March 3 1865 and in Shanghai on month later. Moreover, it acquired a 51% shareholding in (Marine Midland Bank), which expended it ownership in 1987. HSBC was established in United kingdom in 1991 as a parent company to” Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank Corporation”.

(2000- 2010)

The most important events in this period: the bank has expend to Europe in 2000 with acquisition of large French bank for 6.6 £ billion. In addition to, that it acquired many banks such as: Demirbank, Turkish Bank, Grupo Financiero Bital.

(2010 to present)

The essential things happened from 2010 till this year: is in 2011 new chief executive Stuart Gulliver announced that HSBC would refocus in its business strategy, particularly in the respect of the retail sector. Moreover, in Oman HSBC has merged with OIB Oman International Bank in June 2011,where HSBC holds 51% of the combined entity. The merge came to create a major player in Oman banking sector.

Types of extinguishers and their colours :
1-      Water extinguishers “Red”: The cheapest and most widely used fire extinguishers. Used for Class A fires. Not suitable for Class B (Liquid) fires, or where electricity is involved
2-       Foam extinguishers “Cream” : used for electricity and it is safer than the water extinguishers
3-       Dry powder fire extinguishers “ Blue”: Often termed the ‘multi-purpose’ extinguisher, it can be used for classes A,B and C. (best use for flammable liquid)
4-      CO2 fire extinguishers “Black”: used for flammable liquid and electrical apparatus
5-      Wet fire extinguishers: used for class F (cooking oil and fat)
 
Safety rules: (cooking)
  • Keep appliances clean, and wipe surfaces after spills. Clean stove surfaces and ovens regularly.
  • Wear tight-fitting sleeves, or roll them up when cooking
  • Keep flammable objects, including pot holders, dish towels and curtains, at least three feet away from the stove.
  • Wood and coal stoves, fireplaces, chimneys, and all other solid-fueled heating equipment needs to be inspected annually by a professional and cleaned accordingly.
  • Assure microwaves have enough room to breathe, that all the vents are cleared of obstructions.

1-      Set emergency strategies and all people leave the building and make sure you close the doors behind you.
